*About the role: Occupational Therapist*
To manage a caseload of patients with complex needs using evidence based/ patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

Role Overview:

You will be working for an established, stable, and agile company with a unique approach to the delivery of care and education. SERVICE The Role will cover two sites, St Helens, and Newton-Le-Willows, with a total of 90 students ranging from 5 to 25 years of age. The distance between sites is roughly 15 minutes by car. The aim is to ensure equality of opportunity in access to all aspects of the curriculum regardless of the nature and degree of disability of the young autistic person. ROLE We are looking for a qualified experienced Occupational Therapist who wishes to specialise and develop their skills in this interesting and challenging field. Are you dynamic, committed, and flexible with an interest in working and developing skills in a specialist well-resourced setting? Do you have experience in assessment, facilitating 1:1 and group sessions to develop fine motor, gross motor, sensory motor skills and functional / life skills? Do you have experience of working with autistic individuals and/or learning disabilities and/or with children/adults in an education, health, or care setting? Would you like to be involved in training and facilitating staff and other groups? Are you committed to your own professional development? Horizon Care &amp; Education are looking for a creative Occupational Therapist to join our passionate team, delivering a comprehensive therapeutic service for children in our care. This role involves providing support and oversight to teams in education.
What you'll get to do
Manage your own caseload of learners to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues
Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon
To be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload.
To develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
To develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy.

What were looking for from you:
HCPC registered.
BSc/MSc registered Occupational Therapist
Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills
We will accept nearly qualified
Post registration qualifications in sensory integration would be advantageous
A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice
Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Ability to work autonomously with the support from individual and peer supervision
Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values
A sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including knowledge of Excel, Teams and SharePoint
Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle

* Planning care calls and producing efficient daily care worker rosters using our UniqueIQ system. The advance roster must be created in advance of a minimum of one week, ideally two weeks in advance.
* Facilitating customer care assessments and reviews.
* Close cooperation with The Local Authority and potential customers to gain new contracts, and all tasks relevant to the enquiries.
* Supervisory responsibility for frontline staff including care worker supervisions, on-site spot checks and competency assessments
* Supporting recruitment by interviewing care worker applicants
* Crating new care staff users on the UniqueIQ
* Crating new customers users on the UniqueIQ
* Assisting carers with mobile phones. (set up, monitoring, support).
* Supporting with medication checks, transcribing and e-MAR chart audits
* Completing ECM system reconciliations (CM 2000 and IQ Timecard)
* Being a consistent point of contact for customer queries and issues
* Maintaining the training matrix and evidence within UniqueIQ
* Participating in the service’s on-call rota (this is paid on top of salary, minimum one day a week and one weekend in four).
