We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Consultant in General Medicine (GIM) to join a dynamic medical team based in Surrey for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in a forward-thinking healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in General Internal Medicine (GIM).</li>
<li>Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing support to junior doctors and contributing to departmental development.</li>
<li>Lead and manage inpatient care, ensuring clinical outcomes are in line with best practice standards.</li>
<li>Participate in regular teaching, training, and supervision of medical staff.</li>
<li>Contribute to audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.</li>
</ul>
Essential Requirements:
<ul>
<li>
At least 12 months’ experience in General Medicine (GIM) or a related field.
</li>
</ul>
Desirable:
<ul>
<li>Experience in consultant-level responsibilities.</li>
<li>Any experience in sub-specialties within General Medicine is an advantage but not essential.</li>
<li>Not required to be on the specialist register.</li>
</ul>
