Detailed job description and main responsibilities Wathwood is a purpose-built 78 bed adult male medium secure Hospital. Located in its own grounds and surrounded by open countryside and woods, it caters for those aged over 18 years who require assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties in a secure environment. Wathwood is part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare, which is one of the country's leading mental health and learning disability service providers, employing over 6000 staff to provide these services over more than 100 sites. The four wards allow a gradual progression so patients can develop their life skills and become better prepared for life in a less restrictive environment. Wathwood promotes multidisciplinary teamwork, and you will be expected to communicate and review individual patient's care with members of the MDT. Job Description We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Burton-on-Trent as a Care Professional. As a Care Professional, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home. We can offer you between 10-20 hours mainly across the evenings and weekend. You will need to offer availability between 4pm and 9.45pm and extra hours are also available during weekdays. We offer £13.00/hr weekdays, £14.00/hr evenings after 6pm &amp; weekends. Mileage allowance. You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Professional. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
