*The role*
- Build trusting relationships with patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Prepare instrument trays and equipment for dental procedures.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists, hygienists, and therapists during clinical procedures.
- Assist with coordination of appointment bookings to meet daily production targets and ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist in gaining acceptance for treatment plans from patients and support the practice in obtaining testimonials and referrals.
- Maintain strict standards of hygiene and cross infection control in accordance with the latest guidelines and practice protocols.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times, adhering to practice procedures and protocols.
- Assist in maintaining surgery management procedures at the end of each day.
- Report any faulty or malfunctioning equipment for prompt resolution.
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly, updating patient records as necessary.
- Comply with all GDC requirements and maintain registration.
- Monitor and manage stock levels for materials and sundries, liaising with the Lead Nurse for ordering.
- Coordinate with dental laboratories for timely dispatch and receipt of work.
- Actively participate in regular practice meetings.
*The Dental Nurse requirements*
- Qualified Dental Nurse with 3 years of qualified experience
- Experience working chairside with senior practitioners, providing assistance during complex dental procedures.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Understanding of infection control protocols and regulations.
- Familiarity with dental software systems for patient record management.
- Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Additional certifications or training in radiography or dental nursing are desirable but not essential.
