As a Surgery-Biased Small Animal Vet, you’ll be at the heart of their surgical department, performing a wide range of complex and routine surgeries on small animals. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in the surgical field and is keen to further develop their surgical skills. In addition to your surgical duties, you’ll work alongside a team of skilled vets, nurses, and support staff, providing the highest standard of care to all patients.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Advanced Surgical Procedures: Perform a variety of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, with the opportunity to take on more complex cases as you progress.</li>
<li>Pre-Surgical Care: Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring the highest standards of care before, during, and after the procedure.</li>
<li>Client Communication: Guide pet owners through the surgery process, explaining the risks, benefits, and aftercare, ensuring they feel confident in their pets' care.</li>

We are seeking an experienced and confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, independent practice in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills, including sole charge, consultations, and surgeries. The role is full-time, with flexible working hours (40 hours per week over 4-5 days), including Saturday shifts on a 1:3 rota. Working hours are between 8:30am and 6:30pm.
