Personal Care Assistant Opportunity

Join a dedicated care team and make a meaningful difference in the life of an independent, vibrant young man. We are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to provide essential, tailored care within his home. Employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client, you will focus solely on delivering outstanding person-centred support.

Pay Rates:

  • Week Days: £15.00 per hour
  • Weekday Nights:£16.00 per hour
  • Weekend Days: £16.00 per hour
  • Weekend Nights:£17.00 per hour

Bank Holidays:

  • 5 days paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate
  • 3 days paid at double the hourly rate

Available Shifts:

We are offering contracted hours for day, night, and weekend shifts. These will be discussed during the screening process.

About the Client and Key Responsibilities:

Our client is an energetic man in his early 30s who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. He enjoys living life to the fullest and thrives with the right support team.

Working on a 2:1 basis alongside a small, dynamic care team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administering medication
  • Moving and handling using a hoist
  • Providing gastrostomy and personal care
  • Assisting the client with community activities
  • Completing administrative tasks and general household duties

Training and Support:

We invest in your success by providing paid, comprehensive training to CQC standards, including:

  • Full induction and ongoing development
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Health & Safety, First Aid, and Food Hygiene
  • Moving and handling with a hoist
  • Administration of medication via PEG
  • Gastrostomy care and pressure area care
  • Epilepsy awareness

Training is paid at £15.00 per hour and must be completed before your start date.

What We're Looking For:

  • Night shifts: Female applicants only
  • Day shifts: Full UK driving licence required
  • Previous care experience (essential)
  • Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to cover holidays and training
  • Friendly, dynamic, and a strong team player
