Role Summary
Medinet is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Operations Manager to oversee operations in a designated region. This pivotal role requires the individual to manage both senior and clinical coordinators, ensuring that all contracts within their region are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will act as a point of escalation for all booking and contract-related issues and will collaborate closely with Customer Account Managers (CAMs) to ensure smooth contract execution. Strong financial acumen, people management experience, and a proven ability to mobilise new contracts are essential for this role.
Main Duties
- Oversee the delivery of insourcing services across multiple specialties within the designated region, ensuring contract requirements are met and patient care is prioritised.
- Directly manage a team of Senior Coordinators and Clinical Coordinators, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for any issues related to bookings, contract delivery, and day-to-day operations within the region.
- Monitor the financial performance of contracts, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and financial targets are met. Oversee the use of agency staff and any uplifts offered to employees.
- Work closely with CAMs to ensure contracts are running smoothly, addressing any operational issues and joining trust calls as needed to provide operational insight.
- Lead the mobilisation of new contracts, ensuring all operational aspects are in place, including staffing, logistics, and reporting structures.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, including financial, operational, and performance data. Conduct analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimise service delivery.
- Oversee the use of agency staff on contracts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control. Ensure staffing levels are maintained and uplift requirements are managed appropriately.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including trust representatives, to ensure the successful delivery of services and resolution of any issues that arise.
- Will be responsible for managing the on-call rota and will step in to cover as and when needed
Person specification and requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably within insourcing or a similar environment.
- Proven track record of managing teams across multiple specialties.
- Experience in mobilising new contracts and managing contract performance.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecast, and monitor contract profitability.
- Proven experience in healthcare or service operations, with a particular focus on managing contracts and mobilising new services.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- People management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Knowledge and experience across multiple clinical specialties.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to travel regionally as required for the role.
- Experience with workforce planning, including the use of agency staff and uplift negotiations.

Salary Range:
£40,000-£49,990 (dependant on experience)
