Where you will be working: Location: Townfield Lane, Winwick, Warrington, Cheshire, WA2 8TR You will be working at Arbury Court, a service that provides care and treatment for women in differing levels of security, enabling clear care pathways and a positive patient experience. You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team focusing on medium, low Secure and psychiatric intensive care PICU) for women, over the age of 18, with Personality Disorder and Mental Illness. The treatment approach at Arbury Court which is rehabilitation

and recovery dictates that care is ‘person-centred’ as opposed to ‘disease-centred’. A fantastic achievement by the team at Arbury Court was the ‘Outstanding’ award in the 2016 CQC report. Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will include: Communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services, carers/supporter/family members, stakeholders, and agencies. Providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants Ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements Supporting the completion of appraisals/personal development plans with junior staff To be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways To be a Successful Occupational Therapist you will need: A BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with full Royal College of Occupational Therapist membership and Active HCPC registration Experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometrics and risk assessment tools To be able to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage their complex needs Experience in supervising junior members of the team To operate within professional boundaries and in line with the RCOT/HCPC Code of Conduct at all times Full and clean UK driving licence At least 2 years’ experience, with at least 1 years’ experience of working within the specialised area i.e. Mental Health/PD services What you will get: Annual salary of £38,048 The equivalent of 33 days annual leave (inc Bank Holidays) – plus your birthday off!
