Principal Psychologist - York

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and HCPC registered Principal Psychologist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team in York. We provide a medium-secure care setting for individuals with complex mental health needs, and this role focuses on delivering specialized psychological support for a 12-bedded female service. You’ll be involved in providing leadership, consultancy, assessment, and interventions, working closely with both patients and the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the psychological services for the women’s medium-secure service.
• Provide psychological assessments, treatments, and interventions.
• Lead the implementation of Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT).
• Contribute to service development and the promotion of a trauma-informed care approach.
• Deliver staff training and provide supervision to junior colleagues.
• Participate in research, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice in patient care.

Essential Criteria:

• HCPC registered Psychologist.
