MCG Healthcare are working with a practice based in Mansfield (NG21) that require a Practice Nurse on a party time basis starting as soon as possible. The position can become full time in the future as the practice has a nurse retiring in 2025.


Location: Two-site GP Training Practice

Patient List: 12,600 patients

Hours: 25 hours per week (preferably across 4 days)

Salary: Dependent on experience, negotiable at interview


About the practice:

A well-established GP training practice, serving a diverse patient population of 12,600 across two sites. The clinical team is highly supportive and collaborative, comprising a Lead Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Nurse Associates, 2 Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), a Phlebotomist, a Paramedic, and 2 Clinical Pharmacists through our Primary Care Network (PCN).


The Role:

We are looking for a qualified Practice Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers 25 hours per week, ideally spread across 4 days. You will work closely with our experienced nursing team and wider clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. As a key member of the practice, you will be involved in a wide range of nursing duties, including but not limited to:

  • Chronic disease management (not a deal breaker if not able)
  • Immunisations and vaccinations
  • Cervical screening
  • Health promotion and disease prevention
  • Wound management and dressings
  • Family planning and contraception advice
  • Phlebotomy and health checks (if required)

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
  • Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care setting is preferred
  • Competency in chronic disease management, immunisations, and cervical screening
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
