Salary: £35,300 pro rata

Horizon Education Alternative Learning (HEAL) aims to support and engage young people who struggle to maintain attendance and learning in a school environment. We deliver short term, personalised learning programmes nationally - a combination of direct home tutoring and online learning for pupils from ages 5 - 19.

Horizon Care & Education are looking for a creative Occupational Therapist to join our passionate team, delivering a comprehensive therapeutic service for children in our care. This role involves providing support and oversight to teams in education.
What youll get to do ● Manage your own caseload of learners to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues ● Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon ● To be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload. ● To develop, write and regularly reviewupdate therapeutic goals for children and young people in education. ● To develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy. ● Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities ● Benefit from opportunities to participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group
What were looking for from you: ● HCPC registered. ● BScMSc registered Occupational Therapist ● Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills ● We will accept nearly qualified ● Post registration qualifications in sensory integration would be advantageous ● A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice ● Experience of teaching, training andor supervision. ● Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing ● Ability to work autonomously with the support from individual and peer supervision ● Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values ● A sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including knowledge of Excel, Teams and SharePoint ● Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle
