Fawkes & Reece a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector and are recruiting for a Adaptations Occupational Therapist to work on a permanent basis directly with the contractor covering Buxton and Staffordshire Moorlands.
The Role
This role will include assessing the environment and needs of tenants on behalf of a Contractor who can then survey, estimate and tailor their building work to suit needs.
The salary for the Adaptations Occupational Therapist job is £35,000 - £40,000 per year, which also includes holidays, pension plus other company benefits. The working hours are 40 per week, Monday - Friday.
Main Duties include:
Working with citizens and Contractors to ensure they are empowered to lead and self-direct their services Offering advice, education, coping strategies and therapeutic procedures, lifestyle changes and adaptations to their environment and increase their independence and advising contractors throughout the process. Provide aid to daily living and specialist disability equipment, offering instruction and training on use of the equipment or other techniques to optimise the patient's functional ability, independence and safety. Assess and advise on the need for structural adaptations and other works to citizen's homes of older/disabled people Make recommendations concerning the works required to meet individual requirements and referring to Senior Occupational Therapists for Disabled Facilities Grant...
