Horizon Education Alternative Learning (HEAL) aims to support and engage young people who struggle to maintain attendance and learning in a school environment. We deliver short term, personalised learning programmes nationally - a combination of direct home tutoring and online learning for pupils from ages 5 - 19.

Horizon Care & Education are looking for a creative Occupational Therapist to join our passionate team, delivering a comprehensive therapeutic service for children in our care. This role involves providing support and oversight to teams in education.
What you'll get to do
Manage your own caseload of learners to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon To be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload. To develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education. To develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy. What were looking for from you:
HCPC registered. BSc/MSc registered Occupational Therapist Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills We will accept nearly qualified Post registration qualifications in sensory integration would be advantageous A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing Ability to work autonomously with the support from individual and peer supervision Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values A sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including knowledge of Excel, Teams and SharePoint Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle
