Title: Occupational Therapist

JOB PURPOSE
* To assess and carry out interventions for pupils of Ifield with a range of motor, sensory and neurological difficulties.
* To advise and provide clinical support to other staff on Occupational Therapy priorities in line with the school’s curriculum.
* To supervise the work of OT assistants, OT students and other staff working with the post holder.
To provide total commitment to the safeguarding of pupils and the provision of opportunities for all pupils to achieve within their personalised curriculum
MAIN PROFESSIONAL DUTIES:
* To deliver Occupational Therapy in the school setting.
* To maintain records, reports and other paperwork.
* To provide specialist advice to other parties including parents/ carers
CLINICAL
* To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work including the management of pupils on a given caseload.
* To inform stake holders of therapeutic assessment, interventions, and outcomes.
* To provide specialist advice, support and training to other parties within the school environment.
* Provide advice for Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and when appropriate write reports, attend Annual Reviews meetings.
