Join our compassionate team as an Occupational Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals' mental health and well-being. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our service users to lead fulfilling lives. Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates. *This post is working 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday.* *What you will be doing:* * Conducting thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalised support plans. * Providing 1:1 occupational therapy intervention to support service users in achieving their goals. * Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team and external partners to ensure holistic care and support. * Advocating for service users' rights and facilitate access to community resources and services. * Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with organisational standards. * Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through participation in team meetings and training sessions. *What you will need:* * Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy (or evidence that this qualification is soon to be awarded) * Registered with HCPC and BAOT (or evidence that registration is soon to be completed) * Experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties, preferably within a charitable or community-based setting. * Proficiency in conducting needs assessments, goal planning, and providing 1:1 support. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external stakeholders. * Commitment to promoting recovery-focused and person-centered approaches. * Understanding of the social determinants of mental health and the importance of advocacy and empowerment. * Proficiency in IT systems and willingness to adapt to new technologies. * Experience in delivering group therapy or psychoeducation sessions. * Familiarity with partnership working and coordination with diverse agencies. * Understanding of Recovery principles and social care resources. * Ability to create culturally sensitive approaches and consider holistic needs.
