Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our client on initial 3 month basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting community local authority assessments to determine the need for both standard and specialist equipment, as well as minor and major adaptations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client's functional abilities and limitations. Recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations to improve client's independence and quality of life. Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised care plans. Provide guidance and support to clients and their caregivers on the safe and effective use of recommended equipment. Complete manual handling assessments in accordance with established protocols and best practices. Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, recommendations, and interventions. Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in occupational therapy.Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a local authority setting. Strong knowledge of community-based care services and resources.
