Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Nurse to join our client's dynamic clinical team. The successful candidate will provide leadership, ensure high standards of care, and support clinical staff in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care. This role focuses on maintaining a high level of patient safety, outcomes, and experience, ensuring that care delivery is always aligned with best practice standards and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage individualized patient care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to align with treatment plans.
- Provide leadership and management to clinical staff, including appraisals and supervision.
- Act as an educator, mentor, and preceptor, promoting self-care principles for patients.
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality clinical care using advanced qualifications, including venepuncture, cannulation, and IV infusions.
- Support the Clinic Manager with governance, operational excellence, and service development, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Drive exceptional patient and clinician experience, ensuring seamless clinic operations.
- Supervise the nursing team and healthcare assistants, encouraging motivation and maintaining high standards of quality care.
- Promote an environment conducive to effective learning and support continuous professional development (CPD) for all clinical staff.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC pin and a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven expertise in venepuncture, cannulation, and intravenous nutritional therapy.
- Leadership qualification and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to contribute to the clinic's business objectives.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the independent healthcare sector and the ability to analyze data for service improvement.
