Salary: £55,000 – £60,000

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Role Summary:

As the Inpatient Nurse Manager at King Edward VII Hospital, you will oversee the operations of Ward 1 and Ward 3, serving as a visible and accessible leader for patients, families, and nursing staff. Your role will involve championing clinical excellence and ensuring both wards are staffed with skilled professionals capable of navigating complex patient pathways. You will collaborate with clinical specialities to enhance care delivery and improve patient experiences while promoting best practices and cultivating a culture of continuous learning within the nursing team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a highly visible role model in Ward 1 and Ward 3 to provide guidance and support for patients, their families, and nursing staff, cultivating an environment of trust and collaboration.
  • Champion clinical excellence by ensuring both wards are staffed with professionals who possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with all clinical specialities to drive improvements in care delivery, enhancing overall patient experiences and outcomes.
  • Promote best practices and cultivate a culture of continuous learning among nursing staff to improve clinical competencies and patient care standards.
  • Ensure effective management of resources and staff within the wards to optimise operational efficiency and maintain high standards of care.
