About the role: £Negotiable salary Monday to Friday Health Cash Plan Health Insurance Pension Life Assurance Discounted High Street, Gym Membership and Insurance Long Service Awards Social Events Cycle to Work and Tech Scheme As the Head of SHEQ, you will play a critical role in delivering and maintaining a robust SHEQ performance regime across the company. Leading all aspects of SHEQ performance, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in all standards, systems, and procedures, ensuring legislative compliance and best practices across the multidisciplinary team. Ensure compliance across all areas Culture and Engagement: Deliver and maintain a SHEQ change programme to foster a positive culture. Influence and Support: Engage, support, and positively influence directors, managers, and supervisors to create and sustain a vibrant health and safety culture. Initiatives and Improvement: Lead the implementation of initiatives, campaigns, and new processes to drive continual improvement in SHEQ. Policies and Certification: Develop, review, and update all SHEQ strategies, policies, procedures, and documentation to comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards and relevant regional legislation. Legislation and Best Practices: Stay updated with new legislation Incident Management: Manage and lead all incident investigations, ensuring timely and high-quality reports Inspections and Audits: Lead an effective inspection and internal audit plan. Team Leadership: Provide direct leadership to the companys SHEQ team. Budgeting and Reporting: Develop, monitor, and report on annual budgets for SHEQ Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external bodies such as the HSE, OSHA, Environmental Offices, Councils, contractors, fire services, and other regulatory and professional stakeholders Mental Health and Wellbeing: Support the companys mental health and wellbeing programme Criteria: Qualifications: NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health Experience: Minimum 10 years in an operational SHEQ role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior SHEQ role Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable ISO and/or OSHA standards and legal HSE policy and guidelines Ability to translate strategic goals into objectives and pragmatic plans Ability to motivate, inspire, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability Willingness to travel internationally as required.
