Deputy Home Manager (Nursing)
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Salary: £50,000 per year
Job Type: Permanent, salaried position
About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded care home, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the smooth and effective running of their home. In this role, you’ll assist in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring that care standards meet or exceed expectations. You’ll oversee the care team, guide their development, and assume full management responsibilities in the Home Manager’s absence.
Key responsibilities include supervising and training care staff, supporting pre-admission assessments, maintaining accurate care records, and fostering strong relationships with residents’ families and external organisations.
Reports to: Home Manager
Key Skills and Attributes
Proven experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
Ability to engage with residents and understand their individual care needs.
Knowledge of safeguarding and referral pathways for vulnerable adults.
Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and compliance.
Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with families, care professionals, and the staffing team.
Ability to promote resident and family involvement in developing and reviewing care plans.Qualifications
Essential: NMC-registered nurse with relevant experience.Benefits
