- Professional Registration: GMC registration with an MBBS (or equivalent) qualification and specialist registration (CCT/CESR), with Section 12 and Approved Clinician (AC) status.
- Psychiatric Expertise: Extensive experience and knowledge in adult psychiatry, including mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act, Code of Practice, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Codes of Capacity.

- Mental Health Act Involvement: Supervise and prepare reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings; attend hearings as required.
- On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rota, providing support when necessary.
