Derbyshire County Council are seeking a Children's Occupational Therapist who has a minimum of 2 years experience working with children and in social care. A unique opportunity has arisen to join a small team who are committed and passionate about improving the lives of children/young people with disabilities, complex health needs or chronic illness.The client offers a Part-timecontract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Children's Occupational Therapist includes.

Children's OT required with experience of assessing for specialist equipment needs, moving and handling concerns and recommendations of major adaptations addressing specific needs of the child in their home environment Moving and handling assessment and advice: Including provision of hoists/slings and risk assessments. Minor adaptations: Assessment and safety measures Home adaptations: Assessment of potential need for adaptations through the national Disabled Facility Grant. Adaptations may include through floor lifts, ceiling track hoists, level access showers, facilitating wheelchair access throughout a property.
