Carer
True Care is a private provider of domiciliary / palliative care to adults in accordance with agreed programmes of care. Supporting people to stay at home and live independently. We are looking for caring and reliable people to join our care team.
We welcome experienced support workers although experience is not required as we provide a comprehensive training package to all new starters. You will need to have a full clean driving licence and your own car as we are community-based.
Carer Responsibilities (day to day)
* Working with a fellow team member to deliver care (the majority of Clients are serviced with 2 Care providers at each home visit)
* Assisting service users with personal care such as dressing, using the toilet, bathing / showering when needed
* Assisting service users with mobility - using mobility aid equipment where necessary
* Prepare meals and encourage food and drink intake
* To prompt medication when needed
* Ensuring service users homes are kept clean and tidy
* Assisting with shopping and household tasks
* To record individual visits and keep all documentation up to date regarding the service user using the service user log file
Requirements (expected qualities / skills)
* Have a kind and caring nature
* Be able to work as part of a team
* Have patience and empathy for others
* A willingness to help others
* Be able to work 2 weekends in 4
Working Patterns (can vary depending on Client contracts onboard)
* Morning shift - from 7am - up to 2pm
* Afternoon shift - from 3.30pm - up to 9.30pm
* House sits - various pre planned hours
* Split shifts - Morning / Afternoon
