6 Weeks Northern Carer Alliance NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking organised and motivated candidates to fulfil occupational therapy opportunities within Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team under a long-term placement contract. Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills looking to embark on a new opportunity within the NHS? If so, we would like to hear from you today! The Post holder will ideally have previous NHS experience, previous experience in Neurological rehabilitation, Knowledge, and experience of managing patients with an acquired neurological condition is essential. They must be able to demonstrate initiative
and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as a autonomous and practitioner and as part of a team. You will be responsible for providing specialist complex multi-factorial clinical assessments, Occupational Therapy treatment and advice to stroke/ neuro clients in the community as part of the Community Neuro-rehabilitation Team Main Duties of the Job: Evaluate and interpret clinical and non-clinical facts using highly developed clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to clinically diagnose, formulate and implement treatment programmes and pathways of care. Intervention will be delivered in a manner
that reflects choice, privacy, dignity and individuality choosing from an extensive range of treatment modalities, manual therapy techniques and disease management options. Clinical knowledge, expertise and highly developed communication skills to reassure, persuade, motivate and empower patients and to provide support to families and carers. Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments in relation to the rehabilitation goals and modify this accordingly as treatment progresses. The Successful Candidate Will Have: HCPC registration BSc/equivalent occupational Therapist qualification Previous NHS experience Practices in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines About the Trust: Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) brings together staff and services from Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
