Applications are invited for the post of Audio Typist/Clerical Officer/ Receptionist to provide administrative support within the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit, General Surgery Department based at Ninewells Hospital. This will involve performing a wide range of clerical and secretarial duties including reception of acute surgical emergencies into the unit.
With attention to detail, you will have a pleasant and helpful manner, and work well as part of a team. Good typing and audio typing skills are essential and a previous knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous. Previous experience in an office environment is essential as are good communication skills.
The Acute Surgical Receiving Unit is open from
0900-2100 Monday - Friday and 0900-1700 Saturday & Sunday
37 hrs p/wk Monday-Friday (with periodic 7 day shift pattern to cover absence)
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
