Pharmacy Assistant (NVQ Level 2) – NHS Hospital in Surrey

Hourly Rate: £14 - £15 per hour

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Assistant with an NVQ Level 2 qualification?
Hunter AHP is recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant to join a renowned NHS Hospital in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while developing your skills within a supportive hospital pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the safe and efficient dispensing of medication to hospital patients.
Support qualified pharmacists with the preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals.
Organise and maintain medication supplies and stock levels.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and assist with inventory management.
Provide advice and information to patients and hospital staff on prescribed medications, under supervision.
Assist in the storage and distribution of medicines in line with NHS standards and regulations.
Maintain a high standard of hygiene and follow all safety protocols.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
Previous experience in a pharmacy assistant role, ideally in an NHS setting (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A team player who is adaptable and proactive in supporting the pharmacy team.
Knowledge of NHS systems and pharmacy practices is a plus but not essential.
